What's the plot?

When a young governess flees Thornfield House and her wealthy employer Edward Rochester, she reflects upon the people and emotions that have defined her.

The isolated residence, not to mention Mr. Rochester’s coldness, have both tested her resilience, forged years earlier when she was orphaned. She must now secure her future and come to terms with the past that haunts her - and the terrible secret that Mr. Rochester is hiding and that she has uncovered.

i expected this version of Jane Eyre to be better than the BBC series Jane Eyre however it did not meet that standard, there was a lot missing in the movie which should have been there, the ending was the biggest let down as the most crucial parts were not put in, seen better versions but not too disappointed as i still found it enjoyable to watch

I Adored this film, I can actually go as far as to say its the BEST film I have seen. The chemistry between Michael Fassbender and Mia Wasikowska was electrifying. It was Stunning. A MUST SEE!

Anybody who enjoys a period drama will not be disappointed with this new adaptation. Michael Fassbender inparticular gives an amazing performance as Mr Rochester and you can really see his inner struggles and the secret turmoil he is in.

The locations used are visually stunning and you can really feel yourself getting lost within Jane's world.

The decision to start the film after she has left Thornfield and make the film based on her reflections also made this adaptation stand out.

A must watch.
