What's the plot?
Sci-fi thriller ‘The Hunger Games’, from director Gary Ross (Seabiscuit, Pleasantville) takes us to a future North America where deadly gladiatorial combat has become an annual TV sensation.

Every year, a teenage boy and girl are selected to compete in a fight to the death with other contenders. When Katniss takes her younger sister’s place for the forthcoming match, only training from a past champion and her instinct for survival can help her return home victorious.

Rather disappointing - felt it could have been much better. Camera work is, on occasion, the type that gives you a headache and you can't see what's happening.

OMG best film ever, I have read the trilogy and the book was extremly close to it only minor things missed out of it and I would recommed going to see it and to reading the books which are briliant and I can't wait for the next movie o come out "catching fire"!!!!!!!!!!!!

A nice easy and well shot film to watch....but is this not just "Battle Royale" (which you must see!) without the subtitles and sprinkling of Hollywood glitz!?!
