Since their last adventure, the gang have gone their separate ways and found different careers and varying degrees of success.

When Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, discovers the home of his heroes is under threat, he vows to help raise the $10 million needed to save the theatre by reuniting ‘The Muppets’ for a live telethon...with predictably chaotic results.

Took the kids (4,7) to rainy holiday movie, and gave them choice of Pirates or Muppets. Although I was always a fan as a kid myself, this movie was too slow for me and too stuffed with memorabilia for the kids, who did not know the characters. Pretty unsatfisfying in the end, shame we didnt go for Pirates.

I have not really watched the muppet's before this film. Well apart from seeing miss piggy beating up anyone that insults kermit.

I was pleasantly surprised by this film, It had some adult humor (the type that will go over childrens head) and lots of jokes for children.

If you can not make your mind up then just go as you will not be upset.

The Muppets - One of the best family films of 2012

+++++

Reviewer: Ethan
Date: 17/03/2012

Clearly showing an incredibly strong sense of nostalgia and understanding of the material, 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' writers Nicholas Stoller and Jason Segel have crafted a spellbinding reboot-adaptation with 'The Muppets' by capturing everything wonderful about the original and beloved comic puppet characters and not dampening or ruining anything about them with overblown popular culture references or crude gags: instead, 'The Muppets' acts as a warm, endearing, and always engaging tribute to the magic of the original TV show by reintroducing Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Gonzo the Great, Fozzie Bear, and many of the other famous Muppets back into the lives of audience members for good with a combination of high-spirited slapstick and linguistic humour, genuinely touching Muppet-esque drama, and several new original songs that play as smart, catchy, and beautiful all at once (particularly 'Life's a Happy Song' and the Oscar-nominated 'Man or Muppet'); all throughout, the film draws fine leading performances from the main Muppet cast, along with attractively watchable leading actors Jason Segel and Amy Adams, but perhaps the greatest star of the film is brand-new Muppet protagonist Walter, whose charming character and spirit truely highlight and capture the important themes of warmth, glee, friendship, and outright happiness that make 'The Muppets' work as one of the best family films of 2012.
