Personal Record Breaker

Well, my name is Dean Flanders and an employee with ODEON and all I would say that on my own comp I have seen The Artist 15 times so far; this is surely my all time personal record for any one film that I have seen in a cinema, and I have achieved this feat within the last 3 months at ODEON Greenwich where I work, and also at ODEON Swiss Cottage, and quite a number of my long time friends have also saw this film....and we all thought it was superb!
It must surely be a most courageous act by Michel Hazanavicius and Jean Dujardin, to name just 2, to do a concept of a silent movie and achieve what they got at the end of the day! But well done to EVERYONE in this movie. I still intend to watch it for the 16th time.....

This film has it all!

I have seen this film twice now and can say I enjoyed it even more the second time!

It was very brave to do something that could be seen as oldfashioned. It gives an insight into Hollywood of that time and is brilliantly acted by the 3 leading characters! It is hugely entertaining and beautiful to watch.

I will watch it again and continue to recommend it! A one off and truly lovely film!

The Artist - An utterly engrossing masterpiece

Reviewer: Ethan
Date: 17/03/2012

Featuring outstandingly expressive performances from Oscar-nominated leading man and lady Jean Dujardin and Berenice Bejo, a delightful 1930s-inspired musical score accompanying sharp and snappy dialogue, dazzling black-and-white cinematography and editing reminiscent of the 1930s movie era, excellent art direction and costume design, and an overall impeccable understanding of the application of humour and romantic character drama to a classic narrative, writer and director Michel Hazanavicius crafts The Artist as a consistently entertaining and utterly engrossing masterpiece of modern French filmmaking evoking the magic of silent-movie cinema that is ultimately worthy of the 2012 Academy Award for Best Picture.

Winner of 5 Academy Awards:
Best Picture
Best Director - Michel Hazanavicius
Best Actor - Jean Dujardin
Best Original Score
Best Costume Design

Nominated for:
Best Supporting Actress - Berenice Bejo
Best Original Screenplay
Best Art Direction
Best Cinematography
Best Film Editing
